Dancing with the Stars Quinte raises big dollars

The 17th annual Dancing With The Stars Quinte has brought in some big dollars for the Volunteer and Information Hastings Prince Edward.

On Wednesday evening in downtown Belleville, it was announced at a celebration wrap-up, the event collected $31,665.

Event organizer Mykayla Harrison says the funds raised will go to recruitment to support hundreds of charities, not-for-profits, and other groups who need support around Hastings Prince Edward.

“The 284 plus agencies that we work with, finding volunteers to do Meals on Wheels to deliver, providing volunteers to support youth programming, after school both academic- and athletic-based programming.”

“Finding tutors for youth, providing volunteers to do food programming in schools.  Driving patients to medical appointments anywhere from Kingston to Toronto.  It supports not just our agency but  the entire community.”
