Multiple charges have been laid, including dangerous driving, following an investigation in Greater Napanee.
Just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, L&A County OPP were contacted after a Quinte West OPP officer spotted a single-vehicle collision on Palace Road and the driver fleeing on foot from the scene.
Thanks to the help of multiple units, including the canine unit, police were able to locate the driver.
Forty-one-year-old James Brooks of Loyalist Township was charged with the following:
- Dangerous driving
- Breach of probation order
- Driving while suspended
- Fail to remain
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on August 5, 2025.
