Contraband has been seized at Bath Institution.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) reports a package was seized at the medium-security federal institution on June 17 thanks to the vigilance of staff members.
The seized package included shatter (cannabis concentrate) with a total estimated institutional value of $52,000.
CSC uses several tools to prevent drugs from entering its institutions including ion scanners and detector dogs to search buildings, personal property, inmates, and visitors.
