A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for a motorcycle driver involved in a serious collision in Picton on June 1.
The driver, identified in the GoFundMe as DJ Cory, was taken to a nearby trauma centre with serious injuries after a collision with a vehicle on the east side of Picton.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Main and Johnson streets.
The GoFundMe page states that since the collision, Cory has undergone “numerous surgeries involving his hand and leg.”
“He’s had a rod placed in his upper leg, and due to the severity of his injuries, he also had to undergo a lower leg amputation,” the GoFundMe says.
“He still faces additional surgeries and specialized care for these injuries.”
Funds raised go towards ongoing medical expenses not covered by insurance, rehabilitation and adaptive care needs, household and daily living expenses while he is unable to work, and equipment and support for his transition back home.
