A Trent Hills resident is facing charges after police seized almost $50,000 worth of drugs along with weapons from a residence in Campbellford.
On Thursday, officers from the Peterborough-Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act warrant at an address on Grand Road.
Approximately 480 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $48,000 was seized along with a loaded handgun, a replica handgun and a large quantify of Canadian currency.
Jordan Drake-Bawn, 24, from the Municipality of Trent Hills, was arrested and charged with:
– Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
– Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
– Breach of firearms regulation – store firearm or restricted firearm
– Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
The accused was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
