An organization that provides important services for the less advantaged in the central Hastings County area was the latest group to benefit from the generosity of 100 + Women Who Care Quinte Wednesday night.
100 + Women chose the Central Hastings Support Network as the recipient of the night’s donations.
The donation’s total isn’t known yet but it will be significant.
The vice-chair of the Support Network’s board of directors Andrea Markham describes how the gift will be used.

“This means that we an expand our transit system to meet the needs of those people in poverty so that they can have affordable transit so that they can get to jobs, school, visit, food, visits to their physicians.”
After a summer break, 100 + Women Who Care Quinte will celebrate their 10th anniversary at their September meeting. To date the organization has donated over $350,000 to various charities and non-profits in the region.
