A 25-year-old Belleville woman faces an impaired driving–alcohol and drugs charge along with refusing to comply with a demand by police after a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.
City police spotted a vehicle being driven erratically around 12:30 a.m. and pulled it over.
During the investigation police say the driver, Amanda Carlton, was found to be in possession of cocaine. Officers then asked Carlton to participate in a drug recognition evaluation but she refused.
That is a criminal offence.
She has a July court date.
