On June 5, 2025, Belleville police received information from a female that an ex-partner was breaching his release conditions by contacting and attending her residence. As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old Belleville man was arrested on June 6 for failing to comply with a release order. The male was held for a bail hearing.
On June 7, 2025 at 11:30 p.m., a concerned citizen noticed a female who appeared intoxicated and was walking precariously close to the water behind the stores on Front St. Officers attended the area and located the female exiting the water. She advised that she wanted to go swimming. Following their interaction with the female, police formed the belief that she was intoxicated from the consumption of alcohol. As a result, the 36-year-old female of no fixed address was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. She remained in police custody until sober and then released with a Provincial Offence Notice.
