On Saturday June 7, 2025 at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of Kingston police responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of Brock Street and Palace Road.
Through investigation, officers determined a motorcycle travelling south on Palace Road struck the side of a pickup truck which was travelling west on Brock Street.
The 36-year-old driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
The roadway remained closed for a significant period of time while members of the Kingston Police Traffic Unit investigated.
No other parties were injured during this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
On Saturday June 7, 2025, at 1:20 p.m. members of the Kingston Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at 2561 Princess St.
A 17-year-old driver was charged with Careless Driving after driving a vehicle through the window of a local business.
The owner of the vehicle was charged under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Ace for allowing the vehicle to be operated without insurance.
No one was injured during this incident. The business will remain closed until the structural integrity of the building can be assessed.
