Sentencing has been completed in a fraud case involving over $100,000.
Theresa Moore was sentenced by Justice Geoffrey Griffin on Wednesday to nine months in prison followed by two months probation after pleading guilty to taking $107,000. Moore had already paid back the funds she’d taken in restitution.
In an agreed upon statement of facts, it was stated that Moore had been tampering with payroll documents in order to take funds from her employer, Royal Property Management, and its clients.
The fraud was discovered by another employee of the company and kicked off a long investigation by Prince Edward County OPP.
