The Central Lakes Association of Realtors has released local home sales statistics for the month of May, and it is showing an increase in sales across the Quinte region.
Home sales in Hastings County rose 23% compared to May of 2024 and the average sale price dropped from $572,707 to $544,235.
Northumberland County also saw an increase in sales, with 158 reported sales this May compared to 146 in the previous May. The average sale price also dropped from $747,359 to $690,187.
Prince Edward County had 31 sales in May, exactly matching the year before. The average sale price did drop to $727,981 compared to May 2024’s average of $802,759.
Peterborough saw a slight decrease in sales, falling from 201 to 195 in May. The average sale price rose in this area to $778,527 from $737,942 in May of 2024.
