On Thursday, August 8 over the noon hour, a helicopter will soar over Oak Hills Golf Club, dropping 2,000 numbered golf balls onto the course below.
The ball that lands closest to the target wins a $5,000 cash prize.
This event is part of the John Smylie Memorial Golf Classic. All proceeds will support Trenton Memorial Hospital through the Emerge Stronger Campaign.
The drop is sponsored by Patricia Guernsey and 1000 Islands Helicopter Tours, and it’s open to everyone, no golf skills required, no need to be present to win. Tickets cost $20 each or eight for $100 (one ticket = one golf ball).
