The Under 18 Taskforce Engineering Quinte Royals dominated the Caldedon Canadian Baseball Tournament going 5-0 including a win over Whitby in the final.
The Royals scored 64 runs in the five games including three home runs by Jacob Briscoe.
Nick Martin delivered a clutch three-run go-ahead homer in the semifinals vs Aurora to secure Quinte’s spot in the final.
Whalen Hannifan hit his first career home run on Friday night against Richmond Hill, while Jack Murphy earned two wins on the mound — one in Friday’s game versus Richmond Hill and the other in Sunday’s championship final.
The U-18 Royals are home to Whitby Saturday morning at 11 at Rotary Park.
