Docs by the Bay is pleased to announce the recruitment of Dr. Jessica Ladouceur, who has signed a Medical Services Agreement with the City of Quinte West.
Dr. Ladouceur will be providing comprehensive family medicine at the Quinte West site of the Belleville-Quinte West Community Health Centre.
Her practice will be built from the centre’s existing waitlist, and eligible patients will be contacted directly.
Community members are asked not to call the clinic regarding registration, as phone lines must remain available for urgent medical needs.
Dr. Ladouceur earned her medical degree from McMaster University and completed her family medicine residency at Queen’s University, where she is also an Adjunct Professor. Since 2015, she has delivered full-scope primary care, including hospitalist medicine.
She serves as an Investigating Coroner, holds certification in Occupational Health, and has special interests in advanced care planning and care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“I am so excited to permanently join the dedicated and hardworking primary care team in Quinte West,” said Dr. Ladouceur. “The need here is great, and I’m looking forward to applying my skills to promote health and wellbeing in this community—now and for years to come.”
Dr. Ladouceur is the third physician to join Docs by the Bay in as many weeks and the 23rd since the program began in 2017. This ongoing success reflects the growing impact of the program’s initiative in addressing local physician shortages and building sustainable health care for the future.
“The addition of Dr. Jessica Ladouceur reflects the continued success of the Docs by the Bay program in bringing high-quality physicians to our region,” said City of Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison. “Dr. Ladoucer’s experience and patient-centred approach will greatly benefit our residents and local healthcare system.”
Docs by the Bay is supported by the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation, the City of Quinte West, and the Municipality of Brighton.
