It’s June and PRIDE week is getting underway.
The annual celebrations and events mark the LGBTQ+ community’s history, accomplishments, and ongoing fight for equality.
Locally, Bay of Quinte PRIDE has events scheduled throughout the week with this coming Saturday featuring the PRIDE Parade starting in downtown Belleville at noon, followed by vendors and entertainment and PRIDE After Dark in West Zwick’s Park.
The festival theme this year is UNITY. “It isn’t just a theme – it’s a heartbeat.” A celebration of commUNITY, opportUNITY, and equal UNITY.
