The Smithfield Bridge on Highway 2 will be reduced to single-lane traffic as microsurfacing of the road begins Tuesday, June 3.
This will affect the area between Bolton Road and Short Street.
The City of Quinte West says motorists can expect delays while work is completed over the course of the week from June 3 to June 6.
Microsurfacing is a pavement preservation technique that uses a mixture of asphalt, aggregate, mineral fillers, additives and water to extend the life of asphalt roads.
