A 30-year-old man previously charged in connection with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old is now facing additional charges.
The suspect was arrested on May 2, 2025 on charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement. Further investigation revealed that the suspect was having a sexual relationship with another 14-year-old female.
On Thursday, May 29, 2025, members of the Tactical Support Unit and Offender Management Unit executed an arrest warrant at a residence in Ajax. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Gowryshankar Kathirkamanathan, age 30, of Ajax is facing multiple charges, including: sexual assault, sexual interference, assault, invitation to sexual touching, make child pornography and possess child pornography.
He was held for a bail hearing.
