A teenager is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Trenton Wednesday afternoon.
Quinte West OPP and Hastings-Quinte Paramedics responded to the scene at the intersection of Dundas and Front streets just before 4 p.m.
The initial investigation found that a 13-year-old male was operating a hoverboard and was struck in the crosswalk as a pickup truck was turning.
An off-duty doctor was in the area and checked the young person, who was transported to hospital by paramedics and was later transferred to a regional trauma centre.
The investigation by Quinte West OPP is continuing.
