Nationally, the beloved campaign which ran from April 28 to May 4, raised a jaw-dropping $22.6 million.
“This is such a sweet victory for our kids,” said Kellie Brace, executive director of the HPE Learning Foundation. “More than 7,000 students rely on Food for Learning each school day. With the cost of food rising, support like this means the world. When students eat well, they can focus, participate, and thrive—it’s a simple but powerful truth.”
Jenn Barrett, Resource Development and Communications Coordinator, at the HPELF, shared, “Whether you bought a Smile Cookie for your coworkers, your kids, or just as a treat for yourself, you’ve helped make a real difference. We are so thankful to Katie Moore, local Tim Hortons owner, and her entire team who work tirelessly to raise funds for Food for Learning.
Katie Moore, owner of the Madoc and Marmora Tim Hortons locations, added, “It’s amazing to see how something as small as a cookie can have such a big impact. Our team loves being part of this campaign each year, and we’re incredibly proud to support Food for Learning. I also want to thank the incredible team at HPELF—without their dedication to the program, their enthusiasm, and the support of amazing volunteers, we wouldn’t be nearly as successful. They are a truly outstanding partner, and we’re so grateful to work alongside them to make a difference for local students.”
