Hastings County Council has given the green light to Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services to buy three new and two upgraded ambulances to be operational sometime next year.
The cost of the ambulances, which are usually replaced or remounted at around 265,000 kilometres, is close to $1.1 million.
That cost is already part of a multi-year capital plan.
