The over 250 residents of Hastings Manor long-term care home in Belleville will soon not have to travel to a doctor’s office or hospital to have x-rays done.
Hastings County’s Director of Long-Term Care Erin Chapman told county council Wednesday that Mobile Diagnostic Imaging of Caledon will bring their x-ray technology into the home soon.

“So bringing diagnostic services like x-rays onsite helps reduce unnecessary transfers to the emergency department and they’re performed in the resident’s room which offers good safety, comfort, and reduces the stress on the resident.”
It’s hoped the company will be offering mobile x-rays in Bancroft’s Centennial Manor in the coming year.
