A major former industrial property in Trenton is up for sale.
Jamie Troke of Ekort Realty listed the former Cascades pulp and paper mill along the Trent River as for sale with an asking price of $14 million.
An advertisement says that the buildings on the 94-acre property are to be demolished.
Known as Domtar since the 1920s, in 2006 Cascades bought sister company Norampac’s Domtar shares for $560 million and became the sole owner of the corrugated paper mill.
The plant has been vacant since January of last year.
The property is currently zoned to allow warehousing, general industrial use, bulk fuel depot, and transportation terminals.
