A man was arrested after refusing to leave Belleville General Hospital Saturday evening.
Police were called after the 58-year-old man refused to leave the premises after being discharged from the emergency department.
Due to the man’s disruptive and aggressive behaviour, hospital staff were forced to initiate a “Code White” which is called in response to actual or perceived threats of violence, including combative conduct.
Upon arrival, officers arrested the man for causing a disturbance.
Further investigation revealed that he was also in breach of a probation order, specifically for failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
Facing charges is Timothy Hayne of Strathroy.
