On May 23, 2025, MPP David Piccini was at the Canadian Fire Fighters Museum (CFFM) to
formally congratulate the group on receiving a $62,300 Seed Grant from the provincial government’s
Ontario Trillium Foundation last fall.
With the support of the grant, the museum can use more technology to engage visitors and share untold stories
through new and/or updated displays. This initiative will market the museum as a vibrant and inclusive space
and will also help share its collection with the public, virtually and in-person.
“I am proud that we host this important part of our history, one worth cherishing and protecting,” said David
Piccini, MPP for Northumberland-Peterborough South. “The Canadian Fire Fighters Museum plays a vital
role in educating Canadians on fire safety and the evolution of firefighting in our country. This funding will
aid in bringing important lessons to life for learners of all ages.”
