The man who helped backstop the Trenton Golden Hawks to an Ontario Junior Hockey League championship has received an NCAA commitment from a big time program.
Ryan Sanborn has been selected by the University of Connecticut Huskies.
Sanborn had an incredible 20-1-1 regular season record with the G-Hawks this season, with a 1.76 GAA and 938 SV%.
The MVP of the post-season went 16-4-1, with a 1.97 GAA and 935 SV%, to lead Trenton to their second OJHL title.
The Connecticut native lives just 90 minutes from the arena.
