The MP for Hastings-Lennox and Addington-Tyendinaga has been appointed as the Federal Conservative’s Shadow Minister of Canada-US Trade.
Shelby Kramp-Neuman released a statement on her appointment to the position.
“I want to thank Pierre Poilievre for appointing me to this crucial role,” Kramp-Neuman said in her statement.
“The importance of trade between our two nations cannot and must not be understated. It is imperative that all parties involved work together in a transparent and honest effort to reestablish and reinforce one of the world’s strongest and longest lasting relationships. I look forward to working with caucus colleagues, stakeholders, the government, and their respective American counterparts to repair, rebuild, and return trust between our two great nations.”
She also thanked the MP for Prince Albert, Randy Hoback, for his work on the file, and congratulated Dominique Vien, the MP for Bellechasse—Les Etchemins—Lévis for her appointment to the role of Shadow Minister for the Status of Women, Gender Equality, and Youth.
Kramp-Neuman had previously served in that role.
