Central Hastings OPP are asking for anyone with information, including those who have relevant dash-cam video, to reach out to police as they continue to investigate a fatal collision on Highway 37 in Belleville.
On Tuesday, Highway 37 was closed between Denyes Road and Hoskin Road following a collision between a pickup truck and a car just prior to 4:00 p.m.
Two southbound vehicles were attempting to overtake another southbound vehicle with the passing vehicles making contact.
Both drivers lost control of their vehicles.
A car left the road and entered the ditch.
The driver of the car was rushed by Hastings-Quinte EMS to a local hospital, where an 85-year-old woman from Quinte West was pronounced deceased.
Central Hastings OPP continue to investigate the collision, in conjunction with OPP Collision Reconstructionists and other members of the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team.
