It seems the concepts of tariffs against Canadian products by the Americans and threats of annexation are not a new phenomena.
Hastings County’s Planning and Development Committee heard a delegation representing the Wollaston Heritage Centre Tuesday.
The presentation described the Wollaston Heritage Centre and its artifacts in Coe Hill, and the history of the village of Coe Hill, which began when William Coe started an iron ore mine there in 1881.
During that time the political talk was about “reciprocity”, trade and possible annexation.
