Northumberland OPP continue to investigate a collision that shut down eastbound Highway 401 in Port Hope late Monday night.
Police, fire and EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision around 11:40 p.m.
One vehicle was reported to be on fire and a number of people injured.
All four occupants were taken to a local hospital with two of them transferred to Toronto hospitals, though the injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
The highway was closed until about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
