Three people face charges after a search warrant was executed at a home in Greater Napanee.
OPP’s East Region Community Street Crime Unit, and officers from the East Region Tactics and Response Unit, attended a residence on Palace Road to execute a search warrant on Thursday.
Officers located just over 32 grams of suspected methamphetamine as well as a loaded .22 caliber rifle, over 350 rounds of ammunition and just under $3,000 in cash.
Thirty-six-year-old Matthew Lessard and 35-year-old Kiersha White of Greater Napanee, as well as 36-year-old Douglas Wood of Belleville, were charged jointly with the following:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
Lessard and Wood were additionally charged with failing to comply with an undertaking and failing to comply with a probation order.
White was additionally charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
All three accused were held in custody pending a bail hearin g before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on May 16, 2025.
