One person is facing drug trafficking charges after a search warrant was executed in Quinte West, connected to an incident earlier this week.
On Monday, OPP arrested and charged a 26-year-old male for drug and weapons offences.
On Thursday, as a result of the ongoing investigation, a search warrant was executed at an apartment on Dundas Street West in Quinte West.
A small quantity of suspected fentanyl was seized.
One person was arrested a short time later in downtown Trenton, where officers seized over 4.8 grams of suspected fentanyl, as well as a quantity of suspected heroin.
Twenty-nine-year-old Katelynn Harpell of Quinte West has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – seven counts
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
Some of these charges relate to the earlier drug seizure.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Friday, May 16, 2025.
