Fans of minor football were treated to an exciting evening of gridiron action last night at Mary Ann Sills Park, as the Quinte Skyhawks Minor Football League hosted two thrilling matchups.
In the opening game, the Chargers showcased a dominant performance on both defense and special teams, powering their way to a 40-12 victory over the Defenders. The Chargers’ defense held strong throughout the game, while their special teams contributed key plays that helped secure the win.
Game two featured a defensive masterclass by the Bancroft T-Hawks, who continued their impressive streak of not allowing a single point this season. They shut out the Napanee Jr Hawks with a commanding 19-0 win, demonstrating discipline and control on both sides of the ball.
These games highlight the growing talent and enthusiasm in the region’s youth football scene, and the Skyhawks organization is proud to support the development of these young athletes.
