Members of the OPP Peterborough County and the Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) arrested an individual as a result of a drug trafficking investigation.
In April, the Peterborough/Northumberland CSCU, along with Kawartha Lakes CSCU and the City of Kawartha Lakes police, began an investigation into trafficking of fentanyl and cocaine.
On Thursday, members of the Peterborough County/Northumberland CSCU located and arrested an individual in Selwyn Township related to the investigation.
Christoff Brown (age 29) of Pickering was arrested and charged with;
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
· Fail to comply Release Order – Five counts
The accused was held for bBail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
As a result of the arrest, the following items were seized;
· 280 grams Cocaine
· 56 grams Fentanyl
· Two cell phones
At the time of the arrest, the accused was also wanted by the Toronto Police Service.
