The Trenton Golden Hawks have made the playoff round at the National Junior A Hockey Championship in Calgary (Centennial Cup).
Taeo Artichuk had three assists, while Kyloe Ellis, David Fournier, and Cooper Matthews each had two points, as Trenton beat the Grand Prairie Storm 6-2 Tuesday evening.

The 20-year-old says the rest of the round robin is out of their control.

“We going to practice, hopefully get some family time, and then wait to see where we have to play (quarter/semi final).“
He says it has been an incredible experience to date.
Audio Player“It’s been awesome, Hockey Canada’s been treating us really well. The hotel’s nice, all our amenities are great. Calgary and Hockey Canada have been doing a really good job.”
The G-Hawks are now alone atop the Group A standings, with one day left in the round robin.
If Trenton wins the division, they will gain a bye to Saturday’s semi-final, but if Northern Manitoba gets a regulation win, the OJHL champ would then be playing a quarter final game Friday.
Trenton has the tiebreaker between the two teams, following the win in their opening round robin game.
Wednesday night will see Grand Prairie meet Northern Manitoba.
