With Paramedic Services Week just around the corner, CUPE Local 1842 is issuing a final call for story submissions from the public. If you’ve ever been impacted by the care, professionalism, or compassion of a paramedic, now is the time to share your story.
Paramedic Services Week is a time to recognize and celebrate the vital role paramedics play in our communities — not only for their life-saving skills, but for their empathy, bedside manner, and commitment to being there in life’s most vulnerable moments.
“We’re asking the community to help us highlight the human side of emergency care,” says CUPE 1842. “If a paramedic made a difference in your life — big or small — we encourage you to share that moment. These stories are powerful reminders of the heart behind the uniform.”
Submissions will help shine a spotlight on the essential, and often under-recognized, work of paramedics across Hastings County, Prince Edward County, and Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Selected stories may be shared throughout Paramedic Services Week to honour the impact of our members.
To share your story, please email 1842prteam@gmail.com by Friday, May 17. Include your name, your community, and a brief account of your experience.
