Empire Square Live 2025 has been announced for this summer and Canadiana is going to be front and centre.
July 25 and 26 will see names including David Wilcox, Trooper, Arkells, Lights, The Jake Clemons Band, and Luscious.
Empire Theatre’s Mark Rashotte says David Wilcox, Trooper and Kingston’s Luscious take the stage Friday night.
“Oh it’s gonna be feel good. You’re gonna know every bloody song. And it’s gonna be a great fun night. And it’s a, again, under the stars, Friday night, downtown Belleville. It’s gonna be fun.”
The Jake Clemons Band and Lights open up Saturday night which will be headlined by Arkells.
Rashotte calls Arkells front man Max Kerman one of the most enigmatic lead singers in the country.
“They are an exciting act. And they’re influenced by lots of great, great acts whether it’s Motown or Bruce Springsteen or whatever. I mean they have lots of wonderful influences that they’re bringing forward into the world. So we’re really excited to have Arkells coming back here.”
