Northumberland OPP have laid weapons charges following a call for service.
On May 8, 2025 at approximately 8:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a person needing medical attention near a residence on Meade Street in the Municipality of Brighton. Emergency Medical Services were also requested to provide assistance to the individual.
Officers located pepper spray on the person and as a result, they were taken into custody. Following medical care, the accused was transported to a local detachment.
Lucas Myles, 28 years old from the Municipality of Trent Hills, has been charged with:
– Unauthorized possession of weapon
– Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
The individual is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
