A rezoning application has been approved for a new resort in Prince Edward County.
During Wednesday’s meeting, the county’s Planning and Development Committee approved the zoning change, to allow for 2o cottages to be built on the property along with a building for guest amenities and a separate café building.
The property sits along the coast on County Road 12 and currently holds a single home. The property had previously been used as a trailer park which had accommodated up to 18 trailers and three cottages.
The zoning change was approved by the committee without debate and will go before a future meeting of council for final approval.
