A portion of Highway 7 has reopened after flooding during heavy rain.
Highway 7 between Actinolite (Hwy 37) and Kaladar (Hwy 41) was closed for maintenance work after downpours resulted in flooding Wednesday.
The westbound lane was reopened while the eastbound lane remained closed as of 2:30 p.m.
There was also serious flooding in the area around Cloyne and Bon Echo Provincial Park.
A section of Highway 41 between Spencer Road and the park has been closed.
The lane and south shoulder on Highway 41 southbound at Skootamatta Lake Road (near Levere Road) is closed for maintenance.
Emergency responders are concerned that a dam might break in the area worsening the situation.
Reports indicate the North Addington Education Centre property has also experienced flooding.
OPP asks motorists to drive with care, especially during reduced visibility in heavy downpours.
Reduce your speeds to avoid hydroplaning and watch for pedestrians.
