Contraband and unauthorized items have been seized at Collins Bay Institution.
Correctional Service Canada says that as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband and unauthorized items was seized at the multi-level security federal institution on Sunday.
Items seized included tobacco, marijuana, “shatter” (cannabis concentrate), an edged weapon, a cell phone and cellphone accessories.
The total estimated institutional value of these seizures is approximately $66,000.
