Things are looking up in the real estate business.
The president of the Central Lakes Association of Realtors Christine Riley says home sales increased in April along with the number of active listings leading to lower average prices for home buyers.
In Belleville, 57 single-family homes were sold in April, up from 42 in March. The median price, the price at which half of the prices were higher and half lower, was $535,000.
In Quinte West, 61 homes changed hands last month, up from 55 the month before. The median price was $540,000.
In Prince Edward County 24 single-family homes were sold, up from 20 in March. The median price in the county was over $787,000.
And in Brighton, 17 houses changed hands last month, up from 12 the month before. The median price was $718,000.
