Cell phones, and radio and television stations will be broadcasting an emergency alert test throughout the Quinte region and the province Wednesday afternoon.
A test of the National Public Alert System will take place in Ontario.
The alert will be heard at 12:55 p.m.
Officials warn people to not call 911 for information because doing so will only delay help for those
truly in need.
