A 40-year-old man has been charged after a paramedic was assaulted while responding to a call in Belleville Saturday morning.
Hastings-Quinte Paramedics responded to a report of an unconscious male on Bridge Street East around 9:30 a.m.
While assessing the male, he woke up and began to physically assault a paramedic.
Police arrived shortly after and took the male into custody.
The man of no fixed address was held for a bail hearing on charges of causing a disturbance, assault and four counts of breaching his probation.
