A Belleville woman has been arrested and charged after a domestic incident at a home in the city’s east end.
When Belleville police arrived, they separated the involved parties and spoke to each individually.
Police also spoke with the caller.
Through an investigation, police say they learned that a male and female had engaged in a verbal argument which then became physical when the female assaulted the male and proceeded to threaten him with a kitchen knife.
Police arrested and charged a 43-year-old Belleville woman.
She was charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
The woman was held for a bail hearing.
