One of the consistent themes in the polling leading up to Monday’s federal election was that the Conservative Party was doing well with young people and that turned out to be true in nationwide voting by students.
Over 900,000 elementary, intermediate, and secondary school students participated in Student Vote Canada.
Nationally, students chose a minority Conservative government with the Liberal Party finishing second.
Locally, the Conservative candidates finished first among student voters in Bay of Quinte, Northumberland-Clarke, and Hastings-Lennox and Addington-Tyendinaga ridings.
