The Skills Ontario Trades and Tech Truck is coming to Belleville
The truck will be stopping in the community for a two-day event on May 13 and 14. Participating youth will have the chance to participate in hands-on skilled trade demonstrations.
Some of the trades being demonstrated are a virtual paint simulator, electrical wall, welding simulator, heavy machinery simulator, and cake decorating.
While the truck will be visiting local schools for much of its time in the community, the public is invited to try the demonstrations when it visits the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre on May 13 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The Skills Ontario Trades and Tech Truck is an Employment Ontario program and is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.
