Aidan Crawford of the Quinte Legion Lynx Track Club has captured gold at the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devil Invitational meet in New Britain, Connecticut.
Crawford threw a personal best of 54.28m to take the title and break his own club record in the process.
The 17-year-old Crawford won by more than four metres against seasoned NCAA athletes from the Northeastern USA.
Next action for many Quinte Legion Lynx members will be Friday at Thousand Islands Secondary School in Brockville at the Burnbrae Farms Invitational meet.
