One person has been arrested after a drug investigation by the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) in the Quinte West area.
On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, members of the CSCU, with the help of Quinte West OPP officers, stopped an individual after conducting an investigation into drug trafficking in Trenton.
As a result of the investigation, one person was arrested.
Officers seized approximately one ounce of fentanyl, Canadian currency and other items associated with drug trafficking.
Just 2 milligrams of fentanyl can kill a person.
Forty-seven-year-old Brian Calladine of Quinte West, has been charged with the following:
- Possession of the purpose of trafficking- Fentanyl
- Traffic in schedule I substance – Fentanyl
- Proceeds of crime
The accused remains in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, on a later date.
