With the Easter long weekend fast approaching, Quinte News reached out to find out what businesses will be open and closed on the holidays.
Belleville Transit and Quinte Transit will not be running on Good Friday, but will be operating normally on Easter Monday.
Belleville City Hall will be closed on both Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Quinte West City Hall and the Frankford offices will be closed on Friday, but open on Monday.
The Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre will be fully closed on Good Friday, and will not be running recreational programs or opening the customer service desk on Easter Monday. The Sports and Wellness Centre will be operating on a special schedule for Saturday and Sunday, which can be viewed on their website here.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health offices will be closed from Good Friday through Easter Monday, and reopening on Tuesday.
Belleville Public Library and the Leaf and Yard Waste Depot will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday.
Quinte West Library will be closed on Friday and Sunday, but open on Saturday.
Quinte Mall will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, though surrounding businesses may be open.
As for grocery stores, Walmart, McDowell’s Independent Grocery and No Frills in Belleville will be closed on Friday and Sunday, but open regular hours on Saturday and Monday.
LCBO locations will be closed on Friday and Sunday, and operating with reduced hours on Monday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be no changes to the garbage or recycling pick-up schedule in Frankford, and the yard waste depot will remain open at normal hours.
