The Belleville Beast swim team sent athletes to the podium in a pair of meets over the weekend.
Olivia Hunt led the way, setting three new team records; 35.32 seconds for 50M backstroke, 37.57
seconds for 50 breaststoke and 3 min, 1.08 seconds for 200 breaststroke.
Gia Chadwick also broke a team record for her 50m butterfly
in 33.24 seconds.
BEAST had five new regional qualifiers; Emma Cooney, Zoe Cooney, Jordan Mitts, Ana Zegouras and Athena Zegouras.
Twenty-eight Beast athletes along with Coach Rick Haskin, attended the IM Strong Maple Meet in Perth.
Hosted by the Perth Stingrays, this meet was an opportunity to give younger swimmers some meet experience and gain official times.
Abby Wemyss finished second overall in the female 11-year-old IM Strong Challenge.
There were two new regional qualifiers; Jonah Allery and Clara Perrier.
